Saar Levi

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Levi is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in global markets. He has spent a significant portion of his career in New York, holding various executive roles at prestigious financial institutions including Lehman Brothers, Barclays Capital, and Intesa Sanpaolo/Banca IMI Securities Corp.

Saar’s extensive background also includes leadership roles in the fintech industry. He served as CEO of Advanced Financial Products LTD, a startup focused on creating sophisticated financial products, and Cedex Holding & Trading LTD., a fintech company that leverages proprietary and blockchain technologies to develop a global digital commodities exchange. His diverse expertise in banking, capital markets, and fintech innovation underscores his capability to lead and transform global companies.

Iris Even-Tov

Chief Financial Officer

Ms. Even-Tov has nearly 25 years of financial management experience. Before joining Check-Cap as chief financial officer, Ms. Even-Tov served as chief financial officer of Classoos Ltd. Prior to Classoos, Ms. Even-Tov served in various finance roles including director of finance at BOL Pharma Ltd, and a CFO in Hi-tech companies. Ms. Even-Tov began her career as a senior accountant at Zinger Nir, which is now part of Ernst & Young.

Ms. Even-Tov also servs as a board member in public companies and non-profit organizations for over 15 years.

Ms. Even-Tov holds a Bachelor of Business in accounting from the Business of Management College in Israel and is a certified public accountant in Israel.

Noa Reshef, MBA

Head of Operations

Ms. Reshef has more than 15 years of experience managing and leading human resources operations, including talent acquisition and building of recruitment infrastructure, budget planning and implementation and leadership development. She has led Check-Cap’s human resources department since 2009.

Prior to joining Check-Cap, Ms. Reshef was a personal assistant to vice president of business development at Orbotech, a technology company focused on the manufacturing of consumer and industrial products throughout the electronics and adjacent industries. Ms. Reshef also acted as personal assistant to vice prime minister, Mr. Shimon Peres.

Ms. Reshef holds a Bachelor of Arts in Health Systems Management and a Master of Business Administration, both from Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel

Board of Directors

Paul Medeiros

Chairman

Mr. Medeiros is the chairman of the Check-Cap board of directors and has served as a board member since January 2024.

He serves as Manager of Environmental Health at Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health in Ontario, Canada.  Prior to this, Mr. Medeiros served as Managing Director of Consulting and Technical Services at NSF International and has held several other leadership and technical positions.  Mr. Medeiros holds a master’s degree in food safety and quality assurance from the University of Guelph. Mr. Medeiros also has served on the Program Advisory Committees of Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson University) since 2014 and Conestoga College since 2016.

Michael Hutton

Mr. Hutton has served as a member of the Check-Cap board of directors since January 2024.

 

He has spent the past 28 years at medical device technology companies and for the last 15 years has held leadership positions at Phonak Canada, of Sonova Holding AG and WSAudiology. In these leadership roles, Mr Hutton gained significant experience with M&A and strategic business development. Mr. Hutton’s education includes studying at the Toronto School of Business and the University of St. Gallen. Mr. Hutton has been appointed to the Audit Committee and will serve as the committee chair.

Kyla Falkiner

Ms. Falkiner has served as a member of the Check-Cap board of directors since January 2024.

 

She is a respected Change Management Professional who is experienced in taking public companies through transformational change. During Ms. Falkiner career, she has held senior leadership roles at several insurance companies, including Morguard and consumer, packaged goods companies, including McDonald’s Canada and Canada Bread Company, Limited. Ms. Falkiner holds a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University and a Master of Science from Boston University. Ms. Falkiner is a Certified Change Management Professional. Ms. Falkiner has been appointed to the Audit Committee and the Nominating Committee. Ms. Falkiner serves as the Nominating Committee chair.

Daniel Kokiw

Mr. Kokiw has served as a member of the Check-Cap board of directors since January 2024.

 

He is an experienced business owner / operator who has successfully completed M&A transactions. For over 8 years, Mr Kokiw was in a senior operational role at Zodiac Recreational of North America, of Zodiac Nautic and prior to that he ran the operations of Rokan Laminating. Currently, Mr Kokiw owns and operates a highly successful business in food retail. Mr. Kokiw’s education includes studying Psychology at Carlton University. Mr. Kokiw has been appointed to the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee. Mr. Kokiw also serves as the Compensation Committee chair.

David Lontini

Mr. Lontini has served as a member of the Check-Cap board of directors since January 2024.

He is an experienced business owner / operator who has successfully completed M&A transactions. Mr. Lontini has held senior leadership positions at a variety of sports and media organizations such as Pointstreak Sports Technologies, Maru/Matchbox and the Toronto Argonauts Football Club. Mr. Lontini holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Political Science from York University. Mr. Lontini has been appointed to the Nominating Committee and the Compensation Committee.

Yoav Kimchy, Ph.D.

Founder and Head of R&D

Dr. Kimchy has more than 20 years of experience in the development and management of innovative medical device companies. He founded Check-Cap in 2005 and has served as the chief technology officer from 2009 to 2023.

Before founding Check-Cap, Dr. Kimchy served as an algorithm specialist and technical project leader at a government contract company, director of cardiovascular research at a biomedical company and vice president of R&D at a medical device company focused on nuclear molecular imaging technology.

Dr. Kimchy received his doctorate from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
